I support people who are struggling with the emotional pain of loss & bereavement. I help them work through the pain to find clarity, gratitude and purpose once again.
Counselling

Compassionate, patient and skilful support. As and when you need it
Are you:
● Struggling with loss & bereavement?
● Feeling overwhelmed?
● In a transition in your life, unsure of how to move forward?
● Needing support to work through self-limiting patterns that are holding you back?
● Lacking a sense of meaning or connection?
● Looking for an open and non-judgemental space in which you can honestly share
what’s going on for you?
I am a BACP registered counsellor, mainly rooted in the person-centred approach. I am also a trained grief tender.
My role is not to fix you or tell you how you should be, but skilfully support you in dealing with the issues within or around you. I offer to meet you where you are, with no judgment; to sit or walk alongside you; to be your compassionate witness; to openly welcome whatever comes up within you and help you navigate it.
In the counselling therapeutic relationship, you are free to be exactly as you are, filtered or unfiltered as you wish. I commit to being there with you and offering you a space in which you can work through difficult emotional states, find a greater clarity on your experience, and a greater gratitude for your life.
My counselling and related qualifications include:
● A BTEC Higher National Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the University of Glamorgan, 2013
● Death Doula Training with Alexandra Derwen, 2022, and repeated in 2025 in a supportive role for those new to the training.
● Independent Funeral Celebrant Training with Dinah Liverside, 2023
● Grief Tender Training with Frances Weller, 2023-2024
As a BACP counsellor, I receive regular supervision, and ongoing professional training.
Session duration: 1 hour
Costs: £55 per session; some concessions are available
Chris’ presence has been a source of deep support and clarity for me, and I have turned to him in the darkest moments of my life.
What stands out most in his support is the way he meets the human heart as it is in the moment. He has seen me in all my colours, and wildness, and has never flinched, always accepting me, however I have presented, with grace and kindness. That depth of acceptance has been profoundly healing in itself. Equally life-changing has been his steady reminders for me to find ways to de-escalate from a trauma response. This simple but vital guidance has not only supported my ongoing survival, but also allowed me to step into greater independence, resilience and freedom.
Chris models the importance of clear boundaries. He is always able to protect his own while deeply respecting those of others. His practicality, down-to-earth nature, love of the natural world, and genuine care for the human being in front of him are qualities that shine through in everything he does.
His calm integrity and welcoming generosity of spirit create a safe space in which transformation becomes possible.

Chris supported me through a very difficult and pressured period in my life, when I was struggling to hold myself together. I felt unseen, lost, and sad. From the beginning, he provided a grounded and accepting space where I could be heard and understood. His steadiness and quiet confidence helped me feel safe enough to explore complex feelings and relationship stories without fear of judgement.
Our sessions were held remotely, which made them very accessible, yet his presence never felt distant. He is calm, thoughtful, honest, and strong enough to sit with what’s uncomfortable and to offer compassionate challenge with care. His wisdom feels lived-in rather than just theoretical, and his guidance is never imposing.
I’m deeply grateful for the time I spent in his company and would recommend him to anyone seeking a counsellor who is genuinely invested in helping others move forward, and who combines integrity, steadiness, and heart.
M.
